Please practice these skills with your child at home. These cards are yours to keep.
Upper and lowercase letter cards
Please practice these skills with your child at home. These cards are yours to keep.
- Ask your child to find letters in random order. (Point to the letter M, Z, Y, F, D)
- Ask your child to find the letter that makes the /b/ sound, /l/, /s/, /v/, /p/.
- Ask your child to name various letters (out of order)
- Ask your child to find the letter that begins various words. Ex: “Find the letter that is at the makes the sound at the beginning of the word rabbit, nest, dog, goat, pencil, etc.”
- After your child has mastered these preliminary activities, you may cut the cards apart and have them put the cards in order. Singing the ABC song may be helpful in putting the cards in order.
- After cutting the cards apart, have your child match upper and lowercase letters.
- After cutting the cards apart, have your child begin making words with the letters.
Please continue practicing these skills with your child at home.

Have your child place pennies, cubes, buttons, etc. on the numbers as they count to help them with tracking and 1:1 matching of numbers. Make sure they are pointing to only one number as they are saying it and make sure what they say matches the number.
